A NEW year has started and with it Doxa's hopes of new results and wins to fall upon it. A first win in the new year against AEL will kick start their survival fight to remain in the top league.

Doxa needs to find a path and any path to scoring goals. They have the worst record in attack as they have only scored 8 goals this season and have not even broken into double figures in scoring goals. There is no reliable goal scorer in the team with only one player scoring only 2 goals after 14 games.

The attacking corps of Carlitos, Luis Carlos, Mesca, Carlao and Italo have managed to scored a mere 2 goals amongst themseleves in 14 games. Replacements to the the attacking line is an immediate necessity if the results are to change in the new year.

Doxa has already brought in Jorginho, a Brazilian forward,  as an upgrade to the front line. Jorginho is expected to be thrown in from the beginning against AEL. This new recruitments only means that Carlao's days at Doxa are nearing an end. 

 

I expect Doxa to bring in more reinforcements before the winter transfer window is closed. Doxa has also brought in another Brazilian Nelsinho to strengthen the defensive end,
